Held at Virginia Tech, 4-H Congress is the premier teen event for Virginia 4-H. Orange is proud to announce Andrew Miller of True Blue was the State Champion Extemporaneous Speaker during Congress competitions June 28. He competed against youth from other Extension districts and was judged by Toastmasters from the Blacksburg area. Judges commented that he told a story well and kept their interest. Miller had 15 minutes to prepare a response to a previously unknown question. Miller said, Finally, I did it! This is what Ive been working for. And this is my last year! In addition, Orange 4-H had five participants inducted into the Virginia chapter of 4-H All Stars, the highest honor a 4-Her can receive. Baylee Rollins and Taylor Rollins are members of the Orange 4-H Livestock and Home Ec Clubs.
